My Reading Journey - 2020
Even bad times have good things in them to make you feel alive. (Nick Hornby) Devastated by the pandemic situation, the first three months was very challenging. But the introvert side of me embraced both the bad and good sides of this quarantine. Reading has always been my thing, is my joy, passion, escape, therapy. I soaked myself more in books, more than last year. I read 26 books last year and managed to finish 30 this year. I usually borrow books from my school's library, I am a teacher btw. But since I have to work from home it's not possible to go to the library. One day I saw a books enthusiast did a book swap with his instafriends, so I thought why not try it too? I swapped books with some friends and there was also a friend who gave me books that she didn't want to keep anymore. And the best part was there is this one friend who collected Murakami's oeuvres and she lent me 9 books! Eureka!!! And you know what? A great thing about book swap is you get to know
